Zum allerersten Mal ging der diesjährige Physiknobelpreis an Klimawissenschaftler. Syokuro Manabe (JP) und Klaus Hasselmann (DE) erhielten den Preis für ihre Modelle zum Erdklima und ihre Erforschung komplexer Systeme. Zudem stärkten ihre Forschungsarbeiten auch gleichzeitig die Genauigkeit und Glaubwürdigkeit der Sachstandsberichte des zwischenstaatlichen Ausschusses für Klimaänderungen (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, IPCC). Aber was bedeutet diese Nachricht für Anleger? Und sind die Modelle im Sechsten IPCC-Sachstandsbericht ausreichend klar und verständlich, damit die Finanzmarktteilnehmer zukünftige klimabedingte Risiken steuern und verringern können? COP26 wird uns hoffentlich einige dringend benötigte Antworten liefern.
